Postiga not in the Selecção, again?!

It’s obvious that Portugal main problem is in the attacking line but let’s not sink too much in the technical details. So I don’t know why there isn’t extra strikers in the bank. We all know that the team is very complicated; winger playing as a striker, striker as a winger, defender as a striker and the story goes on. So why not let the player who entered the Portuguese football history when he was only 21 years old to play in the his real position “striker”.

Everyone will argue about who’s the best CF for Portugal but we all can’t deny the player who plays with passion and determination and that’s what the team needs.

1st of October was the day I couldn’t control my frustration anymore. With all due respect to all international and non-international Portuguese football players. Some of them just don’t deserve to present Portugal and there’s a glamorous name that’s always being “Capitão”but haven’t scored any goals since Queiroz took over.

In last April, Queiroz was asked why not he wasn’t inviting Gomes and Postiga to the squad and his poor replay after many interviews he didn’t say anything. He finally spoke saying he wants players who are regular in their club-teams and I couldn’t help it but to laugh:roll:. I mean the competitions are different. I remember when Maniche played in 2004 for Portugal. He showed a real football that was connected with passion. A real feeling that he was really proud to present his country but was he doing a great job at his club? I really don’t remember.

Queiroz came to dragão to see FC Porto game vs Sporting last week and than he called his list of invited and excuse me Queiroz but you came in the worst game of the league; that wasn’t FC Porto and Sporting like any other match. The match didn’t rise up to their levels and it was ruined by Duarte.

Back to the main subject. Hélder Postiga must be invited to Portugal national team and it’s urgent. Portugal is in trouble. Liendson just started playing for Portugal in a bad time. Now everyone is expecting Liendon to save them in the last minutes of the game and if it wasn’t Liendson it would be Pepe. You can trust me on that.

I hope I made my point of view clear without any harm or offend to anyone. I will be starting posts about Postiga ’s journey in the Portuguese national team starting with his first game against Bolivia in 2003 until his last game vs Germany in 2008.

And fans please SHOW some support to the player.
